Salmone Affumicato con Avocato Salsa

Blackened Salmon with Avocado Salsa – HFLC Keto

INGREDIENTI

FOR THE BLACKENED SALMON:
1 tablespoon oil
2 (4 ounce) pieces salmon
3 teaspoons cajun seasoning*

FOR THE AVOCADO SALSA:
2 avocado, diced
1/4 cup red onion, diced
1 jalapeno, finely diced
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon lime juice
salt to taste

DIRECTIONS
FOR THE BLACKENED SALMON:
Spread olive oil on non-skin side of Salmon and rub with cajon seasoning.

See The Food Lab book for cooking details: heat pan high heat, place salmon skin side down and press down with spatula to prevent curling while immediately turning heat to low. Cook entirely on the skin side, cook to 120F in the center using electric thermometer. Flip fish and briefly sear the non-skin side.

Spread olive oil on non-skin side of Salmon and rub with cajon seasoning.

FOR THE AVOCADO SALSA:
Mix everything and enjoy on the salmon!

*Cajon Seasoning:
3 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
