Carters – February 11, 2012

Gorgeous snowfall and mild 20 degree temps greeted at the start of the hike and pretty much stayed the whole day. Four of us started out on 19 Mile Brook Trail to Carter Dome Trail in microspikes. We switched to snowshoes to Carter Dome, South Carter Mountain, and Middle Carter Mountain and kept them on for most of the remainder of the hike. The hike returned on the Carter Moriah Trail to North Carter Trail, Imp Trail to the Camp Dodge cutoff. The 13.5 mile hike took us 8.5 hours.
