Tripyramid, Middle Peak – January 16, 2012

No pictures of this fun hike that I did on my own. The hike was a little over 10 miles out-and-back on the Sabbaday Brook trail; temperature started out in the negative teens. Snowshoes would certainly have come in handy but I did the hike starting and finishing with microspikes and used crampons on the steep section of Sabbaday Trail and to the top. It would have been a short jaunt to North Peak but a late start meant I could be hiking in the dark so I opted to do North Peak another day. I finished as daylight faded at 4:35pm.
